R6.0 HP Bradford Gold is a high density non-combustible glasswool ceiling batt at 260 mm. It is a serious ceiling spec, normally seen where the energy rating has to be lifted well past the ordinary residential target.
Before you order, measure the depth
260 mm of batt needs 260 mm of clear space to sit at its rated thickness. In a lot of roof spaces the ceiling is fine in the middle and pinches at the eaves, and a batt crushed at the perimeter is not delivering R6.0 there. If the depth is not available, a lower R-value installed properly beats a high one squashed in.
Sizes
Six batts per pack at 1160 mm long. The 430 mm width covers 2.99 m² per pack, the 580 mm covers 4.04 m². At this R-value the pack covers roughly a third of what an R2.5 pack does, so check the pack count against the ceiling area early. Coverage per pack explained has a worked example.
