By application
Barrier or breather, the decision that causes most condensation problems
Every membrane we sell carries a vapour classification from Class 1 to Class 4 under AS/NZS 4200.1. It is printed on the roll and repeated in the spec table on the product page. Getting it wrong is what puts water inside a wall.

The second classification to read is water control. A micro-perforated breather is usually a non-water barrier, so it belongs behind a masonry leaf or a drained cavity, never behind direct fixed cladding. Compare the wall wrap range.
What holds it on
- Timber framing. Cap nails spread the wind load across a 25 mm cap and seal the penetration. A staple is a slit held by two wires.
- Steel framing. Double sided fixing tape holds the wrap without putting a hole in the air barrier, or pins and washers fired with a gas tool.
- Concrete. ICCONS gas fastening drives a pre-assembled insulation fastener in one action, sized to the board thickness.
- Every join. A membrane is only a barrier where it is continuous. Foil tape for foil faced products, QuickTape for permeable and airtight membranes.

We install wall wrap and sarking, and insulation batts of every kind. Roofing blanket, safety mesh, spacers, thermal break, rigid board and mass loaded vinyl are supply only, because those go on in the roofer's window as the sheets go down. Delivery is free within 50 km of our Epping warehouse with no minimum order, and a flat $55 per order elsewhere in Victoria and New South Wales.
