R2.0 Pink Soundbreak Batts are high density glasswool acoustic batts at 75 mm, the thinnest in the Soundbreak range. Two sizes: 1160 x 430 x 75 mm covering 5 m² per pack and 1160 x 580 x 75 mm covering 6.7 m².
The one for a 75 mm wall
Soundbreak is an acoustic batt first. This is the version for a narrower stud, where the deeper R2.7 at 90 mm and R3.1 at 110 mm will not fit without compressing them, which would defeat the purpose.
What Rw will I get
Rw belongs to the whole wall or floor system, not to the batt on its own. Lining, framing, fixings and any gap left at an edge all move the result. Tell us the build-up and we will send the system report that matches it.
On site
Cut with a sharp knife and friction fit. The batt has to touch the frame on all four sides with no gaps, because a gap is where sound gets through.
