Pyrotek Soundlag is an acoustic lagging product for pipework, from the same Pyrotek range as Wavebar and Quadzero.
Why pipes get lagged acoustically
Waste and stormwater pipes carry noise through a building surprisingly well, particularly in apartments and hotels where a pipe can run past a bedroom. Thermal lagging does not fix that, because the problem is sound radiating off the pipe wall rather than heat. Acoustic lagging adds mass around the pipe so less of that noise gets into the room.
