R3.0 Bradford Polymax is a 180 mm polyester ceiling batt. Same thermal job as a glasswool batt at the same R-value, without the itch.
Why people choose polyester
It is 100% thermally bonded polyester, non-irritant and low allergen, made from up to 50% recycled material with no manufacturing waste. That matters in three situations: the owner is installing it themselves, someone in the house reacts to glasswool, or the ceiling space gets accessed regularly for storage or services. If none of those apply, Bradford Gold covers the same R-value in glasswool and is the one carrying a non-combustibility claim.
Sizes
Eight batts per pack at 1160 mm long: 430 mm wide covering 3.99 m², 580 mm wide covering 5.38 m². Widths follow the usual 450 mm and 600 mm joist centres, so measure your set-out before ordering.
On site
Lightweight and simple to cut. Friction fit between the joists, butt the ends, no gaps, and do not squash it to fit a shallower space. Keep the clearances downlights and flues require.
