R2.5 Martini polyester acoustic floor blanket, supplied as a 10 m roll, 430 mm wide and 140 mm thick, covering 8.6 m².
Made for the space between floor joists
The 430 mm width and the roll format are the point. It runs out along a joist bay rather than being cut batt by batt, which suits midfloor and suspended floor work where the bays are long and consistent. At 140 mm it fills a deep joist cavity.
Polyester, so no itch
Underfloor and midfloor work often means working overhead in a confined space. Polyester does not itch and does not need the full covered-up kit, which is a real difference when you are on your back between joists.
What it does
Two things at once: it cuts noise carrying between the floor above and the space below, and it carries an R2.5 thermal figure for the floor. Thermal rating is declared to AS/NZS 4859.1 by the manufacturer.
