R2.5 HP Bradford Gold is a high density non-combustible glasswool wall batt that reaches R2.5 in a standard 90 mm stud. It is the usual answer when the wall has to do better than R2.0 and the frame is not changing.
Four sizes
Nine batts per pack across all four: 1160 x 420 mm covering 4.38 m², 1200 x 450 mm covering 4.86 m², 1160 x 570 mm covering 5.95 m² and 1200 x 600 mm covering 6.48 m². Which one fits depends on the clear width between your studs, so measure a real cavity rather than working from nominal centres.
Where it sits
R2.0 standard is the cheaper option in the same 90 mm if the assessment allows it, and R2.7 HP is the next step up in the same thickness.
On site
Friction fit against the frame on all four sides, no gaps at the top, bottom or edges. Do not compress a batt into a narrow bay, because a high density batt squashed further gives up exactly what you paid the premium for.
