ICCONS ballistic point insulation fasteners are drive pins with the washer already assembled on them, sized so one fastener suits one insulation thickness. Ten sizes from 25 mm to 100 mm. Packs of 50, except the 100 mm which comes 25 to a pack.
The fastest way to fix board to concrete
Drilling and plugging a rigid board to a concrete soffit is slow and it fills the air with dust. A pre-assembled drive pin fired from a gas tool goes in one action, so a ceiling of PIR board that would take a day with a hammer drill goes up in a fraction of that. It is the standard method for fastening insulation onto ceilings, walls and facades.
Match the size to the board
The size in the list is the insulation thickness, not the pin length. A 50 mm fastener is for a 50 mm board. Buying one size up leaves the washer proud and one size down crushes the board, so order to the board you are actually fixing. MetecnoTherm PIR board comes in exactly these thicknesses.
Which tool
They are made for the ICCONS GTIXF-160C insulation fastening tool, and they also work in most low velocity powder actuated tools fitted with an insulation fastener kit.

Fitting notes
Match the fastener to the actual board thickness, because the washer seats at the board face and a mismatched pin either stands proud or crushes the board. Follow the ICCONS insulation fasteners installation instructions and the tool manual, and set fastener spacing from the board manufacturer's fixing schedule rather than from the tool.

Common questions
Is the number the pin length or the board thickness?
The board thickness. A 50 mm fastener is for 50 mm insulation. ICCONS size the pin so the washer seats correctly at that thickness.
What substrate do they fix into?
Concrete. They are drive pins fired by a gas or low velocity powder actuated tool.
Do I need the ICCONS tool?
The GTIXF-160C is the tool they are made for, but ICCONS also list them for most low velocity powder actuated tools fitted with an insulation fastener kit.
How many in a pack?
50, except the 100 mm size which comes 25 to a pack.
Can I get other thicknesses?
ICCONS make the range from 25 to 130 mm and in clear, black and grey. RM Industries stock the ten sizes listed here. Ask us for anything else.
How many fasteners per board?
That comes from the insulation manufacturer's fixing schedule, not from the fastener. Do not set spacing from the tool or from habit, especially on a facade.
