Bradford Supertel blanket is the high performance glasswool blanket in the HVAC and commercial range. Twenty seven options, from R0.7 at 25 mm through to R3.0 at 100 mm, in widths up to 1500 mm.
Perforated facings, and why they exist
Several options carry a heavy duty perforated facing. Perforation makes the facing acoustically transparent, so sound passes through it into the glasswool instead of reflecting off the surface. If the blanket is there to absorb noise, a solid facing over it cancels much of that. If it is there as a barrier, a solid facing is what you want. Decide which job the blanket is doing before choosing the facing.
Performance at minimal thickness
Supertel is the higher tensile grade, which is what lets it hold performance in thinner sections and survive handling. In plant rooms and ceiling spaces where depth is contested, that is usually the reason it gets specified over a lighter blanket.
Blanket or board
The same family comes as a rigid board. Blanket suits wrapping and curved work, board suits flat lining and anywhere the surface has to stay rigid.
