Bradford Rockwool Fibertex 650 is high density unfaced stone wool board and blanket rated for service temperatures up to 650 °C.
High density, high temperature
At this grade you are usually insulating genuinely hot plant: exhaust systems, boilers, high temperature ductwork. The density is part of the specification rather than a bonus, because it is what lets the material hold its structure at temperature instead of slumping away from the surface it is protecting.
Choosing the grade
The grade number is the maximum service temperature. If the plant runs hotter than 650 °C, step up to Fibertex 820. If it runs well below, the lower grades cost less and do the same insulating job.
