Bradford perimeter spacer is a ribbed edge vent that maintains a 20 mm airflow gap at the perimeter of a ceiling, 430 x 660 mm, 50 per pack. Made from 30% recycled material.
It exists because of a specific code requirement
It is a Deemed-to-Satisfy solution under NCC 2022 Section 10.8.3. The requirement is about keeping air moving at the roof edge so moisture does not accumulate where the ceiling insulation meets the eaves, which is one of the tightest and most condensation-prone parts of a roof.
What it does in practice
Ceiling insulation pushed hard into the eaves blocks the airflow path completely. The spacer holds a consistent 20 mm gap so air can still move, without relying on the installer eyeballing a clearance batt by batt across the whole perimeter.
