Bradford Acoustigard partition batts at 14 kg/m³, 75 mm thick, sized 1200 x 450 mm and packed 14 to a pack covering 7.56 m². Non-combustible glasswool for commercial partition walls.
Specified by density
Commercial partition systems name the batt density, because that is what the tested wall was built with. Acoustigard runs at 11, 14 and 24 kg/m³. If your system report says 14 kg/m³, this is the batt, and swapping to a different density means the report no longer describes the wall you built.
Batts or roll
The same 14 kg/m³ product also comes as a roll in several thicknesses. Batts suit a set stud spacing and go in fast. A roll suits long runs and lets you cut to length as you go. Choose on how the wall is framed and how much cutting you want to do on site.
On site
Friction fit between the studs, touching the frame on all four sides. In acoustic work an edge gap costs more than most people expect, because sound takes any path air can take.
