Bradford EcoPower is a 400 mm hybrid commercial roof ventilator: a Hurricane turbine with an EC motor, so it ventilates on wind alone and switches to powered extraction when the wind will not do the job.
Why hybrid
A wind driven turbine costs nothing to run but delivers nothing on a still day, which is often exactly when a building most needs air moved. A powered fan is reliable but runs up energy costs. The hybrid gives guaranteed airflow with the running cost of a turbine most of the time.
Control
Air iQ responds to temperature and humidity automatically, and there is 0-10 V BMS integration for buildings with a management system. That means it can be part of a controlled ventilation strategy rather than an independent hole in the roof.
Practical points
Quieter than traditional fan assisted vents and more efficient. Lightweight, single phase, with a varipitch base and powder coat options. Supplied complete, mill finish, 400 mm.
