Bradford AiroMatic is a powered roof ventilator, 250 mm, in four Colorbond colours. Unlike a wind driven turbine it delivers airflow regardless of the weather.
Powered, with a brain
Air iQ auto mode senses conditions and runs the fan when it is worth running, or you can set a fixed speed for continuous ventilation. The low energy motor is designed so that the running cost stays well below what the reduced air conditioning load saves.
When powered beats wind driven
Sheltered sites, low pitch roofs, and anywhere the wind is unreliable. A turbine on a still summer afternoon is doing very little, and that is usually the hour that matters most.
Still needs an inlet
Powered or not, air has to enter the roof space. Eave or soffit vents are what let it work.
